In the Mix started out as GR Productions. After 15 years of business, founders Gene Ganson and Rob Bolt decided to revamp and update the company to better meet the needs of their clients. In 2009 they founded In the Mix Productions. In the Mix was created to provide the best in mobile events, large production events, and sound & lighting system installation for both residential and commercial applications.With many years as youth ministers, both Rob and Gene found their calling in the event production field, providing sound & lighting for many types of events."Our goal is to step in and insure your event goes exactly as you dreamed it would in a stress-free and smooth manner", says co-founder Rob Bolt.

THE CREW
ROB BOLT
MOBILE EVENT SPECIALIST / OWNER
Rob has been in the entertainment business for twenty years. He co-founded In the Mix Productions, with partner Gene. Rob started out in youth ministry, providing sound and lighting for various programs and events, including an annual youth rally.
Since then, he's provided sound and lighting for a vast number of events and honed his large event lighting and production skills over the years. Rob has the know-how and talent to bring a room to life through theatrical lighting and sound to give an audience the full "live" experience.
Rob is a big picture guy that sees an event from years of experience. His goal is to make your event go as smoothly as possible, because he truly cares for people and enjoys being a part of making their plans come to life.
Like a true DJ, when asked who his favorite musician is, Rob answers; "I dont have a favorite - I truly like all styles of music and performers."
GENE GANSON
Gene started out as a musician and then found himself running sound for a church youth event where he met Rob. Being comfortable on the microphone, Gene feels running a party is second nature. He has a passion for installing technology and helping people learn how to use it.
Gene graduated from the UMKC audio engineers course back in the late 90's, and does most of the sports announcing for the Independence School District. Hes also been a music director in
churches over the years.
Gene's expertise in sound and large event production is a huge asset to In the Mix, and our clients.
JESSICA KELSEY
MOBILE EVENT SPECIALIST
BIO UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
ADAM KELSEY
Adam's been a DJ for nearly ten years. Originally, he got involved because he's passionate about music and loves meeting new people and helping them to celebrate their special events. Now, Adam doesn't see his work at In the Mix as a job, rather a passion and hobby.
When asked who his favorite musician is, Adam replies; "Brian McKnight because of his involvement in all aspects of his music - not to mention he's an incredible performer."
JENNIFER VAUGHN
MOBILE EVENT SPECIALIST ASSISTANT
Jennifer's in the process of becoming a full-fledged DJ. Outgoing and dependable, Jennifer loves meeting new people while working events. Musically, she's a big fan of Thriving Ivory. Her idea of a great party involves a pool and all her best friends and family around having a great time.
LAUREN BOLT
FACEBOOK COORDINATOR / MOBILE EVENT ASSISTANT
Lauren grew up in the DJ environment - being Robs daughter and all. She loves music and prides herself on being up to date on what's "in". Lauren's not shy and can handle herself on the mic - a must for all good emcees. It is her goal to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves and having a good time.
Lauren's idea of the perfect party is one that is the talk of the town when it is finished, music and lights working in harmony to create the mood to make people want to dance, laugh and have a great time.
AMY DYER
Amy has worked as an assistant for several mobile events over the past few years. She has an out-going personality and has shown In The Mix Productions her leadership skills as she has worked as the lead specialist at events as needed. Amy enjoys many different types of music and enjoys working with our clents on their special day.
FULTON WILHELM
LARGE PRODUCTION ROADIE
Fulton has been a apart of the In The Mix Crew for the past three years. He has worked in large and small production events as a roadie. Fulton gained much of is experiance working as a sound and lighting engineer for the local school system. When asked what he likes to do during a production, Fulton, like a true pro, answers, "Where do you need me the most."
SUE WATERS
Sue has been a great asset for the In The Mix roadie crew for 10 years. Sue has worked hard to make large events setups run smoothly. She has taken an intrest not only as to the productions as a whole, but especially the lighting side of events. Sue has proven her value to this company by committing to In The Mix to help with setup, and to also work as a lighting tech.
BRANDON GANSON
MOBILE EVENT SPECIALIST/ROADIE
As Gene's son, Brandon grew up around the sound and lighting production environment. He's been an integral part of the company since it's founding and has worked hard to become a mobile event specialist and large event production roadie.
COREY GANSON
Corey also grew up in the business, being Gene's son. He is working to become a full-fledged Mobile Event Specialist, picking up more and more of the business with each event.
